The last four months have been incredibly awesome! I am so blessed to be playing in a variety of bands doing what I love to do with a great bunch of guys! Since the beginning of September I have played in Florida with "KOLE" band playing original rock material, played a lot with "The Occasionals" throughout the Raleigh area entertaining people with classic rock, southern rock and blues, and rocked out with the Richmond, VA area original rock band, "Shadows Down", as we played at Amos Southend in Charlotte, NC.
So, from original rock to classic rock, from country to blues and hard rock to southern rock I have been loving the variety.
I am also in the middle of getting my Christian band, "Unlikely Heroes", back up and going. I think we will go with the name Unlikely Heroes? We are currently looking at songs and getting some practices in. It is definately a 2013 project.
As always go to www.tedfillhart.org and click on my schedule link and see where I'm playing next!
If you are looking for a band for any event then I think I have the band for you! Which one would you like? My website has all the band links - check 'em out!
May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright New Year. Here's wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

October 2012
Well, things in the music business be it local, national or international is crazy! You never can predict what will happen!
As soon as I joined Mark Roberts and the Occasionals, Mark had to leave the band due to career responsibilities. We had a good run in September and played some great shows!
October has been fun so far. The Occationals played at the Wendell Harvest Festival and I am freelancing as I join other musicians on "Jam Nights" at area venues.
I do have super big news to share, but I can't let the cat out of the bag just yet!
As for my old band, Shelter, they are still playing around in the area and doing well. You can find them on Facebook or at www.myspace.com/shelternc
If you like the blues there are two local bands you will want to catch in action! Tommy Thunderfoot and the Accelerators
and
The Hops Brothers http://www.reverbnation.com/thehopsbrothers
More news soon! Ted

April 2012

The last couple years has been busy musically. Not only playing with Shelter, but recording artist Kole asked me to join him on a few tours, too. Kole is actually the lead singer of a Richmond, VA based band called Shadows Down as well. The band has asked me to play keys on their live shows when the opportunitiy arises.
As of April 2012 I will no longer be playing with Shelter. It was a personal decision I had to make. One of the main reasons is that playing in a cover band has led me to drift away from what I love to do and that is to write and record music. So, I let the four remaining band members know that I will no longer be part of the group. It was a hard decision! The musicians in Shelter are awesome people and I really didn't want to let them down. They have proven in the past that they can do shows without me, so that was one bit of consolation that I had to help make my decision. I hope they carry on and do what they do - play great music and entertain others.
I still plan on supporting Kole and Shadows Down, which is all orginal music, in any upcoming shows they need me for.

I hope to get back into writing new music soon. A project that I had wanted to do are songs that are relaxing and instrumental. Call it mood music, stress free tunes... what ever, but songs in that nature.
Stay tuned...
